Paolo De Conto (CRG / Maxter) dominated the first heat, B against C, from the start where Arnaud Kozlinski (Sodi / TM) could not take advantage of his leading position. Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) took the opportunity to take 2nd place ahead of Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter). Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) managed a gain of seven places in finishing 4th ahead of Kozlinski, a little more comfortable at the end of the race. Best lap was from Jordon Lennox-Lamb (BirelART / Parilla) in 7th ahead of Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) and Rick Dreezen (Ricciardo / Parilla). Mirko Torsellini (Ricciardo / TM) fell sharply after being pushed into a spin by Simo Puhakka (CRG / Maxter), who was then penalised 10”.
De Conto also won the second heat, A against C, which was at first led by Jorge Pescador (Praga / Parilla). De Conto went ahead after Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) attacked the leader. Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) lost out trying to attack Lennox-Lamb for 4th place and was ranked only 12th. There was a beautiful 7th Douglas Lundberg (Kosmic / Vortex) ahead of Gary Carlton (Intrepid / Modena) who gained eight places. Luca Corberi (Tony Kart / Vortex) set the fastest time after being held up by a hesitant start from Fore.
The 3rd heat, A against B, was not without it’s surprises. Kozlinski experienced a difficult first lap, little helped by Pescador, who rapidly yielded the lead to Fabian Federer (CRG / Maxter).
Very incisively, Abbasse came back to second before losing out to Marijn Kremers (BirelART / Parilla) and Corberi who finished 2nd after taking seven positions. Fore was in 3rd place briefly, then dropped to 6th and recovered 4th to the wire against Abbasse and Pescador. Kozlinski was seventh ahead of Ardigo, who set the fastest lap.
De Conto took the lead in KZ2 at the end of the heats from Camponeschi, Pescador and Fore. Jorrit Pex was 5th, Kozlinski 6th, Dale 7th, Lennox-Lamb 8th, Ardigo 9th, Federer 10th and Abbasse 11th.
